ABOUT YMEF

A new foundation
built around a long view.

Youth Motorsport Education Foundation was established in North Carolina in 2026 to create a structured educational model in which motorsport development and personal development reinforce one another.

NORTH CAROLINA · ESTABLISHED 2026

Organizational development is underway. Our first programs and facility are in development, not yet operating.

The experience of motorsport.
The purpose of education.

YMEF grew from a long-standing involvement with motorsport and a belief that the sport can teach far more than driving technique.

The demands of preparation, competition and technical work make choices and their consequences visible. YMEF was created to place those lessons inside a structured educational environment for young people, with guidance and time for honest reflection.

  • Discipline
  • Preparation
  • Accountability
  • Emotional control
  • Technical understanding
  • Respect for risk
  • Teamwork
  • Honest self-assessment

Built from experience.
Designed to outgrow its founders.

A multi-generation family connection to motorsport informs YMEF’s perspective. That heritage predates the foundation, which was established in 2026.

YMEF is being built to become an independent educational institution serving young people beyond its founders. The family’s experience is a starting point; the organization’s purpose is a broader youth-development mission, rather than a family racing program.

Emanuele A. Massa

Emanuele A. Massa founded the Youth Motorsport Education Foundation with a background that brings together technology, education, organizational leadership, and extensive hands-on experience in motorsport.

Technology

IBM · Information Systems & Computer Networks

Earlier in his career, Massa worked for many years with IBM in Italy, developing a deep understanding of information systems, computer networks, and technology-driven problem solving. That experience shaped a disciplined, analytical approach to systems, data, and performance that would later become highly relevant to both education and motorsport.

Education

Polaris Preschool S.r.l. · Private Education & School Management

He subsequently became the owner of Polaris Preschool S.r.l., a private-school organization based in Milan, Italy. Leading an educational business gave him direct experience in school management, program organization, student development, staffing, and the responsibility of creating structured environments in which young people can learn and grow.

Motorsport

Third-Generation Driver · MLG Polaris Racing · Team Management & Trackside Engineering

Motorsport has been a constant throughout his life. Massa is a third-generation racing driver in a family whose involvement in competition spans multiple generations. After competing personally for many years, he expanded his role beyond the cockpit.

Beginning in 2022, he owned and managed MLG Polaris Racing, a Formula racing team in which he served as both Team Manager and trackside engineer. His responsibilities included driver development, vehicle setup, race preparation, technical analysis, data interpretation, and day-to-day team operations.

These three areas of experience ultimately converged in the creation of YMEF.

  • Technology taught him to understand systems.
  • Education taught him how young people learn and develop.
  • Motorsport taught him what preparation, discipline and pressure demand.

YMEF brings those worlds together.

YMEF was created to bring those lessons together in a structured educational environment where young drivers can develop not only as more capable competitors, but as stronger, more responsible, and more complete individuals.

Education at the center.
Motorsport as the setting.

The organization we are developing brings an educational purpose to the demands of driver development.

Youth development

Helping young people develop judgment, responsibility and the habits needed to learn and improve.

An educational foundation

Building a structured approach that connects technical learning, character and personal growth.

Learning through motorsport

Using preparation, simulation, physical conditioning and technical study as connected learning environments.

An organization in development

Shaping its first training model, programs and planned Training Center.

A clear scope

YMEF is not a racing team, a commercial driving school, a driver-management agency or a sponsorship vehicle for an individual driver. Its purpose is structured education and youth development.

Clear responsibilities.
Accountable direction.

YMEF intends to distinguish Board oversight from operational leadership as its organizational structure develops.

INSTITUTIONAL OVERSIGHT

Board Governance

YMEF intends to develop Board governance focused on its mission, stewardship and strategic direction. The responsibilities below describe that intended role.

Mission oversight
Keep the organization’s decisions aligned with its educational purpose.
Financial stewardship
Oversee responsible use of resources and long-term sustainability.
Organizational accountability
Maintain clear responsibility for decisions, commitments and progress.
Strategic direction
Guide priorities and the pace of organizational development.
Ethical governance
Support integrity, sound judgment and responsible conduct.

ORGANIZATIONAL DELIVERY

Operational Leadership

Operational leadership would translate the mission and intended Board direction into day-to-day planning, program development and coordination.

YMEF is developing the organizational arrangements needed to support that work as its first programs take shape.

Grow with purpose.

YMEF intends to grow at a pace its resources and programs can support. Establishing a sound first model will take priority over rapid expansion.

Financial sustainability

Develop resources and commitments that can support the organization’s work over time.

Measured program development

Build and refine the educational model before extending its scope.

Qualified professional instruction

Seek the expertise needed for responsible, well-guided learning.

Participant safety

Make safety a priority in the design of learning activities, spaces and procedures.

Responsible facility growth

Align the first Training Center and future expansion with program needs and available resources.

Meaningful partnerships

Pursue relationships that support educational quality, organizational capacity and the mission.

A DELIBERATE BEGINNING

The organization is new.
The standard is not.

YMEF is beginning deliberately, with a defined mission, an educational philosophy and a long-term vision. Those commitments will guide how the foundation develops its programs, facility and institutional responsibilities.
